Wendy and Maria

Two middle-aged women talk to each other at a bus stop

Wendy and Maria both live in Ambrosden, near Bicester and work at the John Radcliffe. They get the H5 bus everyday to work.

Wendy: I catch the 6.10 am or the 7.10 am and it is the same people on the bus. I have made some good friends with my bus buddies! We have a WhatsApp group and let each other know if there are any issues or delays.

Maria: We’re always talking ten to the dozen on the way home, letting off steam about work before we get home. It is really nice to have these friends, who you see face to face, and really regularly, without having to make lots of arrangements - a rare thing now with online and busy lives!

I’ve always caught the bus. It’s cheaper than running a car and healthier for me to walk to the bus stop.

Wendy: I found the live bus tracker ideal for checking that the bus is on time before I set off from the house. My advice is to download the bus app, or bookmark the live bus trackers as they save you lots of time and stress.

Maria: And we never, ever to have worry about parking!
